The Peace Corner was launched just over two years ago with only minor
financial
support from the Comboni Missionaries. We feel compelled at this
time to address the severe needs of young people on Chicago’s West Side
whose growth and development is being damaged by the pervasive presence
of poverty, drugs and violence. As a new effort, we have yet to develop
strong relationships with donors, but we have begun nonetheless
trusting
in the generosity of friends and convinced of the critical nature of
our
